Third Grade Bloggers: Lexi and Nicholas

This blog is all about a fossil expert coming to our class for something fun about fossils! First he showed us some of his fossils.There was an obsidian rock that came from a volcano. It was black with real leaf fossils in it. We got to see another fossil that was a plant fossil. It had a lot of roots in it. Then we got to look at fossils that had REAL gold nuggets in them! He showed us plants that dinosaurs ate and we got to make the imprint of a fossil in a clay ball.He showed us how to be a real paleontologist and we got to dig in some dirt to see if we could find all of the fossils in the bucket.Nicholas S., Christopher, Jacob, and Dylan found the 2 fossils first. We had a lot of fun together! It was amazing seeing the fossils from the expert. That was our fossil fun day!
