White Oak Elementary's fifth grade Broadcast Team met today at lunch to learn from one of our STEM partners. Mr. Carey Harrison joins White Oak again this year as a STEM Partner. Mr. Harrison works for Georgia Public Broadcast as a videographer. He's traveled around the world and all around Georgia creating documentaries, and he also creates education videos for the state DOE. The Broadcast Team was very engaged as Mr. Harrison described his work. There was plenty of time for questions, and our broadcast team had lots of questions! Students also had time to ask Mr. Harrison for advice and tips when creating their own projects. Students are currently working on projects about genetics. Thanks Mr. Harrison!
