Twenty-five fourth and fifth graders arrived wide awake at 7:00 AM at White Oak to take on their first STEM challenge. Students worked with a teammate to solve the challenge of creating a horizontal perch for "Jem Stem". With only the materials provided in their brown bag, teams engineered perches for their fuzzy Jem Stem.
